While you won't see them often, even in the catalog, Carvin still makes the Ultra V, but not with the Kahler term. I recently replaced the one on my old Strat and gota good deal on the replacement at AZ Guitar Parts.ĥ) The Carvin Ultra V has a smaller body than a Jackson Randy Rhodes. Oh the current AC275's and 375's have all been and continue to be made here in San Diego.Ĥ) Kahler makes one of my favorite bridges. While made over seas they were still quite nice, having a tone closer to the Taylor sound than the Martin sound. In the time frame when this guitar was built, they were still in their Escondido facility, another 15 minutes up the road from their current location.ģ) The only Carvin guitars that were not made in the USA was the short lived (5 years?) traditional acoustic guitars. ^ What my man KH said! (If you're looking at V's, check out his band "Hedda")ġ) Being that this particular one is yellow and has a Kahler on it, it was built in the 80's though I can't say exactly when.Ģ) Carvins are made in San Diego California, about 20 miles from my house. I'm guessing the 3 small switches are 2 coil splits and 1 phase switch. If he can't find it, maybe they did stickers like Ibanez used to do or maybe they did printing on the output jack plate as they do on some guitars today still.
#Are carvin guitars still made in usa serial numbers
No idea how they did serial numbers back then.

If they're standard C22's you should be fine for metal \m/Ĥ. Can't really tell what pickups it has and I've never had an 80's Carvin so no idea who differently the pickups used to be wound and sound. Is the Ultra V made in USA? The freat board, is ebony or rose wood? What about the pickups are good for metal? where is the serial number? because the seller can´t find it stamped on the body.ġ.

The seller says it was made in the 80´s. As you can see in the pictures, the guitar is not in mint condition. I have a lot of questions, i would like to learn more about the Carvin Ultra V. I have read that it´s a very good guitar with a very good bridge a Kahler made in USA. I live in Mexico and iwant to buy a Carvin Ultra V this would be my first Carvin guitar ever and I need your advice i know nothig about this Carvin.
